About Us

Ten Past Seven

Ten Past Seven are Matt on Bass/Baritone, Ger on Drums and Rory on Guitar.

Their debut release on Outonalimb ‘Shut Up Your Face’ (2006) displays the full range of their ability to transfer their raw power and passion to musical expression, combining psychedelic groove, metal and jazzy post rock.

On Tuesday March 27th 2007 TP7 and Los Langeros climbed the highest mountain in Ireland, Carrantouhil. Electric and acoustic guitars,a bodhran,a banjo,a microphone were played on the peak all to the amusement of a mountain goat.

In 2008 they released a split single simply titled ‘Highest Bands in Ireland‘ exclusively on vinyl with ‘Babe Will You Be Mine’ by the Langers and ‘Anifeiliad’ from TP7.

Tenpastseven’s newest single ‘Bothar Buí’ (2010) features vocals by Katie Kim and remixes by Laura Sheeran, Kevin Blake, Toby Kaar and Molotov Ape. The physical copy of the cd has been produced with a limited run of 100 pieces of slate each imprinted with an individual image.

They’ve graced the stage with such acts as Lightning Bolt, Dj Scotch Egg, XBXRX, Pelican, Nina Nastasia, Charlottefield, Giddy Motors, La Quiete, Moss, Vaz, The Redneck Manifesto, Noxagt, Electric Eel Shock, Deerhoof, Zu and have summered at Irish festivals Mantua, The Green Gathering, Livestock, Pikey Fest, Bloom Fest, Killkenny arts Fest and more as well as a couple of tours in the UK.

Earlier this year Ten Past Seven ran a successful fundit campaign to record three new tracks for a not-for-profit physical and digital release at Black Box Studios, France. As a result of the funding received for the project, the band recorded in late July, releasing the digital edition exclusively to funders in early September.

Now, the Black Box Recordings is about to become available for free download, premiering at Nialler9. The tracks will be subsequently available in your choice of format from Ten Past Seven’s bandcamp. Meanwhile Ten Past Seven are working on the physical release of Black Box Recordings which will be limited to funders only, and will be coming in a very unique format.

All proceeds still go to the “SAVE THE BOG-WALRUS” campaign.
